26 Snare Drum Rudiments

These rudiments are the building blocks of drumming technique. Learn these essential patterns, and learn how to play them fluidly at any tempo without consciouse thought. If you practice these rudiments they will make you a better drummer regardless of the style of music that you play.

When practicing thses rudiments use a single drum or pad, start out slow and build up speed then hold that speed and then slow back down. Remember the technique it is the most important, the speed will come with practice.

When you feel comfortable playing these rudiments on your snare or pad then begin to practice these patterns on the rest of your kit. It is a great way to start soloing

Have fun and I hope helped you on your way to being a better drummer.
